Yes i agree with patricia ryan, it is important to know more than 1 language.  Knowing more than 1 language is definently a good thing it will help you in the long run. It can help you with getting a job or prevent you from getting alzhiemers when you are older.  It is important to know more than one language more many different reasons.  If you are visiting another country it would be so much easier to know their language than constantly asking someone for help.
